Walk to and explore 3 different beaches within minutes of each other. Playa del Perro, El Escambrón and La Playa de la Laguna. For those who prefer surfing, “La Ocho” offers the best surfing action in the San Juan area. There is a Surf Shop very close to CTP where you may rent equipment. You can also walk to San Juan Bay Marina, where you can have lunch, a snack or dinner while relaxing and enjoying the views of the moored yachts and mountain range skyline.

Once in Old San Juan there are many things to do and see. We have many historical sites, cobblestone streets, historical buildings, markets and restaurants. El Morro (Historic Site), take a guided tour of this incredible Spanish fortress but if you prefer, just relax and enjoy El Morro’s spectacular ocean, bay, city and mountain views. This is a must visit. From Old San Juan take a ride on the Cataño Ferry for a nominal round trip fee. Book a tour to the Bacardi Rum Factory in Cataño while you are there. Also don’t forget to check out the local fish and seafood restaurants.
While staying with us, take time our to drop by La Placita de Santurce for Happy Hour, especially Fridays to experience a local custom called “Viernes Social” when many go out for drinks after the long-awaited end of the work week.
